Berlin: More than 320 flights were canceled due to snowfall at Germany’s largest Frankfurt airport.On Thursday morning, airport manager Fraport AG announced that flight disruptions and cancellations were expected, the news agency reported.
“Take-off and landing are now possible again,” a Fraport spokesperson said late Thursday. Flights have been disrupted since Wednesday afternoon due to heavy snowfall. Fraport AG said operations should return to normal by Friday.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has reported that after light to moderate snowfall on Thursday afternoon, the weather will now return to normal over the next few days in the state of Hesse, where Frankfurt Airport is located.
