Monsoon Skincare Tips: Protecting Your Skin From Breakouts

Monsoon Skincare Tips: As we welcome the monsoon season, it’s time to update our skincare routine. The rains bring high humidity and lingering heat, which can cause various skin issues, especially for oily skin. Increased humidity leads to excessive sweating and sebum production, clogging pores and causing acne breakouts and dull skin. Understanding how oily skin reacts to these conditions is crucial, and the right skincare routine can help manage these challenges effectively. Pravin Bera, Co-founder, Dr Rashel listed some effective and easy tips and tricks to protect your skin from breakouts and other skincare problems in the rainy season.

Monsoon Skincare Tips For Breakouts
Cleansing

Cleansing is the first and most crucial step in any skincare routine, especially during the monsoon. Ingredients like neem and vitamin C are excellent choices. Neem’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it perfect for maintaining healthy skin by fighting pimples, acne, and excess oil while removing impurities. Vitamin C is a crucial antioxidant that brightens the skin, removes dark spots, and nourishes the skin by fighting free radicals.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation is vital to remove dead skin cells and prevent clogged pores. A blend of sandalwood extracts and walnut shells can help even skin tone and reduce signs of ageing, while also preventing pimples and acne. Coffee scrubs and de-tan scrubs help rejuvenate and brighten the skin by removing dead cells and tan buildup.

For a deeper clean, consider an Argan Scrub, which penetrates deep into the skin to remove dirt, pollutants, and dead skin. Argan is rich in Vitamin E, which helps treat acne and dark spots, promoting an even skin tone.

Use Lightweight Moisturizers and Gels

In high humidity, it is important to keep the skin hydrated without making it greasy. Lightweight moisturisers and gels are ideal. Tender Coconut Gel, for instance, is made with 100% natural coconut extracts rich in lauric acid, providing anti-microbial properties. It keeps the skin clean, hydrates it, and tightens skin pores, ensuring a fresh and non-greasy look.

Apply Sunscreen

Monsoon Skincare Tips

Even during the monsoon, sunscreen is a must. A lightweight gel sunscreen with SPF 60 PA+++, enriched with Aloe vera or Vitamin C, can block UV rays and protect the skin. Such sunscreens are rich in vitamins C and E, effectively nourishing and soothing the skin while protecting it from sun damage.

Opt for Serums

Serums can provide a concentrated dose of beneficial nutrients to the skin. Aloe vera serum, with its 100% natural extracts, is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients that nourish the skin. Additionally, Vitamin C serums help in the growth and repair of healthy skin cells, reduce dark spots, and fight free radical damage. Serums containing Niacinamide are also beneficial as they aid in the formation of keratin, keeping the skin firm and healthy while promoting a smoother skin tone.

Additional Tips

Neem-infused acne pimple patches are effective for absorbing pus, removing acne, controlling inflammation, and preventing the spread of acne with their antibacterial properties. Facial kits with Aloe vera or Vitamin C are highly beneficial; Aloe vera nourishes, removes dark spots, fights inflammation, and provides antioxidants.

Vitamin C brightens skin, reduces hyperpigmentation, and promotes collagen production. Additionally, a Vitamin C face mask can fight free radical damage, reduce dark spots, and rejuvenate the skin, offering comprehensive skincare benefits.

Managing oily skin during the monsoon is challenging but doable. By following the aforementioned tips and tricks, you can keep your skin healthy, glowing, and free from breakouts during the rainy season.
