Bhubaneswar: Monsoon rains in Odisha shall be experienced for the next four days. Light to moderate rain is being experienced in different areas. The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center has predicted rain in most parts of the state for the next four days.
The weather center has issued a yellow warning for lightning, thunder and rain in most parts of coastal, northern and western Odisha in the next 24 hours. At this time, the wind is likely to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. Rain will continue in most places tomorrow as well.
The amount of rain will increase from June 26. Yellow warning has been issued to seven districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Koraput due to heavy rain on June 26.
Warning has been issued to three districts of Ganjam, Rayagada and Koraput and five districts of heavy rain on June 27. Monsoon has entered Odisha in proper time, but the lack of rain has raised concerns. So far 91.8 mm rainfall has been recorded in the state. That is 41 percent less than normal rainfall.
