Light to heavy rain is expected in most districts of the state on July 1 and 2.

Monsoon has covered all the districts of Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Jabalpur, Tikamgarh, Sagar, Khajuraho, Rajgarh. Rain has been falling in Chhattisgarh for several days. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Surguja division on Monday.
This year, the weather has made many records in Delhi in the month of June. The average maximum and minimum temperatures of the month have been the highest in 12 years. The average maximum temperature was 41.9 degrees and the minimum temperature was 29.8 degrees. This year, heat wave prevailed for nine days, the highest in 14 years. It rained for nine days in the month of June, while last year it rained for 17 days in June.
This year, the rainfall has been 228 percent more than normal. The average rainfall of the month is 74.1 mm, while the total rainfall was 243.4 mm. Out of this, 228.1 mm rainfall occurred only on 28 June. This is the third highest rainfall in the month of June after 1901. Before this, more rain had occurred 88 years ago in 1936 and 91 years ago in 1933.
Uttarakhand received 49 percent less rainfall than normal in the month of June. The beginning of summer in March was somewhat relieving, but the clouds remained angry in April and May. From March to May, there was 19 mm less rainfall than normal. There was 29 percent more rainfall than normal in March. In April, the clouds rained 46 percent less.
After this, there was 21 percent less rainfall than normal in May as well. Most days throughout the month, the maximum temperature was four to seven degrees Celsius higher than normal. From March 1 to May 31, the state received 128 mm rainfall, which is 19 percent less than the normal rainfall of 159 mm. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of more than normal rainfall during the monsoon season.
