Kozhikode: A speeding car hit a differently-abled woman and her mother. The incident took place at Poonoor market last night.
The car hit Shamala and Eesha Rahim, residents of Thachampoil in Thamarassery, when they were crossing the road. Police recovered ganja from the car while searching the vehicle. The driver of the car has been taken into custody. Locals said that the person in the car was drunk. After this, Balussery police searched the car and recovered ganja. Detailed interrogation of the detained persons is being done.
