Mohali: Punjab School Education Board suspends officials on corruption charges
Mohali: The Punjab School Education Board has suspended Senior Assistant Parwinder Singh along with Assistants Ranjit Singh and Rajinder Singh of the Certificate Branch after gross irregularities were found in the verification of certificates related to Punjab Pharmacy Council and tampering of records.
Daily wage employee Jagtar Singh has been transferred to regional office in Rupnagar and a show cause notice has been issued to the Certificate Branch. The Board has recommended registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the matter. These irregularities came to light during an inquiry related to the verification of two certificates sent by the Punjab Pharmacy Council for verification on April 4.
