Modi’s first guarantee fulfilled in Chhattisgarh, CM told PM

Raipur. CM Vishnudev Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During this, he discussed issues related to the development and public interest of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the prompt decisions and initiatives taken by the Chhattisgarh government on ‘Modi’s Guarantee’. Sai said that as per the announcement of the Prime Minister, Prime Minister houses have been sanctioned to more than 18 lakh families in the first cabinet meeting as soon as the government was formed.

At the same time, as per the promise made to the farmers of the state, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to purchase 21 quintals of paddy per acre at the rate of Rs 3100 from November 1 itself. The Chief Minister said that on Good Governance Day, two years’ outstanding paddy bonus amounting to Rs 3716 crore 38 lakh will also be paid to more than 13 lakh farmers. The Chief Minister said that in the supplementary budget, provision of funds has also been made for schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Social Security Pension etc.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing an amount of Rs 2485.79 crore to Chhattisgarh by the Central Government and giving permission to take 15 lakh metric tonnes of parboiled rice into the Central Pool. He said that this amount received from the Central Government will strengthen the financial support of social welfare schemes and infrastructure development schemes. During this time, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were also present with him.
