Mobile tower stolen again from Muzaffarpur in Bihar, FIR lodged

Muzaffarpur (IANS) | Once again a case of mobile tower theft has come to light in the Nagar police station area of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. Even before this, mobile tower has been stolen from Muzaffarpur itself, which is now being investigated by the police that another mobile tower theft incident has happened again. The mobile tower company has lodged an FIR in the concerned police station. According to the police, a mobile tower of GTL Infrastructure and Company Limited was installed at New Colony Balu Ghat in Sikandarpur OP of Nagar police station area. The thieves have stolen all the equipment including the generator of this mobile tower.

However, the police have started investigation considering the matter as suspicious. An FIR has been lodged in the city police station regarding the theft of mobile tower in Sikandar OP.

Muzaffarpur (City) Deputy Superintendent of Police Raghav Dayal said that an FIR has been registered for the theft of the mobile tower. Prima facie this matter seems suspicious. He said that during the investigation it was found that thieves had made away with all the goods of this tower 4-5 months back and now an FIR is being lodged. He, however, added that the matter is being probed.

It is said that the mobile tower which was stolen was lying closed for a long time. When it was inspected by the company, all its equipment including the tower were found missing.

It is worth mentioning that earlier also the case of mobile tower theft in Bhagwanpur had come to the fore. The police still have not been able to crack the case.
