Berhampur: A Mo Bus driver was severely beaten up by a group of youths in Berhampur on Saturday night. The video of the incident has gone viral on the social media platforms.
The Mo Bus driver Manij Kumar Sahu has been injured in the attack.
According to sources, the bus was leaving from the Berhampur Railway station when the group of youths pressed the emergency switch and stopped the vehicle mid way. So, the driver asked them why did they do that. This question reportedly irked the youths and they dragged the driver from his seat and hit him after throwing him on the floor of the bus. They also verbally assaulted him and pushed him out of the bus and continued their attack. The youths also threatened him and cursed at him in vulgar language.
The passengers of the bus and passersby intervened and tried to stop them but they did not listen to them and continued their assault. However, as more people began to gather the group of 6 or 7 youths fled from the scene.
