On Thursday, Telangana State Handloom Workers’ Union State General Secretary Pasikanti Lakshminarasayya and Telangana Region Padmasali Sangam Handloom Section State Vice President Pocham Kannayya handed over a petition to MLC Nellikanti Satyam demanding immediate loan waiver for the remaining weavers in the loan waiver scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Lakshminarasayya said that the Congress government in the state had waived off personal loans of weavers, but there were about 60 people in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district who were not included in the waiver list. They requested that a District Legal Committee (DLC) meeting be held for them and loan waiver be granted to the eligible ones. Handloom Cooperative Society President Jaldi Ramulu and Pendam Srinivas participated in the program.
