Mahasamund. On the occasion of Good Governance Day, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a heartfelt tribute was paid to his photograph by garlanding it and his contribution was remembered.
On this occasion, a massive cleanliness campaign was started from this morning itself. From Ambedkar Chowk, the district headquarters, to the bus stand, MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha started the cleaning campaign by holding a broom in his hand at Mahamaya Pond.
On this occasion, former municipality president Pawan Patel, councilors Mahendra Jain, Meena Verma, Hemlata Yadav, Mangesh Taksale, Rajesh Netam, Munna Dewar, Raju Chandrakar and Sandeep Dewan, other public representatives, Chief Municipal Officer Tomson Ratre, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Mission Clean City and its employees participated in the cleanliness campaign.
A comprehensive cleanliness campaign was also conducted in the Gram Panchayats of the same district and by cleaning and painting Atal Chowk, the local public representatives and villagers remembered the virtues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee by garlanding his photograph.
