MLA acquitted in sexual harassment case

Dhanbad. BJP MLA from Baghmara area of Dhanbad district, Dhullu Mahato, has been acquitted by the special MP-MLA court in a sexual harassment case. The court gave its verdict on Tuesday. In fact, the accusing woman and her husband had denied their allegations during the testimony. After this, MLA Dhullu Mahato had recorded his statement in the court on 12 February. Let us tell you that the woman had accused the MLA of sexual harassment.

On the orders of the High Court, the police had registered an FIR against the MLA on 4 October 2019. The woman’s statement was recorded under section 164 on 15 February 2020. In the statement recorded earlier, the woman had told that in November 2015, Dhullu Mahato had called her to the guest house. Touched her body inappropriately. She was told many times that the MLA liked her and if she listened to him, he would make her rich.
