Mizoram: Two Myanmarese were arrested in Mizoram’s Champhai district on Wednesday for possessing methamphetamine pills, an official statement said. It said officials of the state excise and narcotics department on Wednesday conducted an operation in Tlangsam village near the India-Myanmar border and seized 5 lakh methamphetamine pills from the possession of two Myanmar nationals.
They have been identified as Lallawamjuali, 28, and Lalramjauwa, 31, both residents of Khawmawi village in Myanmar’s Chin state, the statement said. It said the seized medicines were smuggled from Myanmar. Both were booked under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985
