Lucknow | District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar has issued a strict decree on the safety of passengers and minor e-rickshaw operators who are spreading traffic chaos in the city. Now, if minors are found driving an e-rickshaw, not only will an FIR be registered against them, but an FIR will also be lodged against their father. Not only this, e-rickshaws will also be seized. The District Magistrate has issued strict guidelines in the meeting of Vyapar Bandhu Committee.
He informed that e-rickshaw vehicles are being operated in a dangerous manner by minor children at many places in the city. Equal complaints are coming in this regard. Now it will be taken seriously. Even after being given exemption several times, if there is no improvement, now strictness will be done. Regarding this, under the new rules, an FIR will be lodged against the minors. The father will also come under wraps on this chaos. Strict legal action will be taken against them as well and an FIR will be lodged.
Let us tell you that in the new rules that have come in the MV Act regarding the increased rates of fines for vehicles, a provision has been made for strict action if the command of the vehicles is handed over to the minors. In this too, it has been said to file a case against the father of the minor. According to ARTO administration Akhilesh Dwivedi, a provision has been made for jail term and a fine of up to Rs 25,000.
