Mine inspectors in Bihar will become skilled in handling weapons, will get training

Patna (IANS) | In order to stop illegal sand mining and transportation in Bihar, the government has now decided to give arms training only to the mine inspectors, so that they can be freed from being dependent on the police. It is generally seen that after receiving information about illegal sand mining, the mine inspectors have to depend on the police for raids. To get rid of this, the department has decided to give weapons training to the Mines Inspectors only.

An official of the mining department said that from Monday, 90 mine inspectors will be trained in modern equipment including weapons. In the initial phase, this training, which lasts for about two weeks, will be given training in motor boat and weapons.

It is said that at present the training venue of Bipard and Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department has been selected for the training.

It is worth mentioning that last days the mine inspectors who went to raid Bihta were attacked by the mining mafia. Women mine inspectors were also involved in this.

According to the officials, this will also facilitate raids and raids can be conducted at the right time after getting the information.
