Nahan. Now soon the cattle owners will get the treatment of milch animals at their doorstep in the state. Under the National Animal Disease Control Program of the Government of India, 44 mobile veterinary unit vehicles have reached the state in the first phase. One MVU will be made available in all 81 development blocks of the state.
According to the information, the Chief Minister will formally start it from the capital Shimla on the occasion of upcoming Himachal Day. Along with making mobile veterinary units available in every block, PDPL company will operate MVU free service, for which in the initial phase the company will also recruit drivers, veterinary pharmacists and veterinary doctors, the process of which has also been started.
The mobile veterinary unit vehicle has been equipped with facilities to provide facilities to the cattle farmers at their doorstep in the treatment of diseases of milch animals. In which table facility has been provided for first aid, medicines and minor operations. Even goats and cow calves can be operated in mobile vans.
Farmers will be able to avail this facility by calling toll free number 1962. According to the information, MUVs will be connected to veterinary institutions of the state. Wherever there are problems related to domestic animals in the concerned area, medical services will be provided by transferring the call from the nearest veterinary hospital concerned. MVU has reached four development blocks of Sirmaur district, while these services are to be provided in seven blocks of the district. On the other hand, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Sirmaur, Dr. Naveen Kumar said that under the National Animal Disease Control Program of the Government of India, mobile veterinary units have started becoming available for every block.
In which four vehicles have also reached district Sirmaur. He told that the vehicle with all the facilities and a team of doctors will reach the doorstep of the cattle owners to provide assistance in diagnosing their animals at their doorstep. Himachal Day will be formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state by flagging it off.
