Meteorological Department issued yellow alert in Delhi

New Delhi. There are chances of light rain with strong wind in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. Due to this, the temperature will drop and people will get relief from the heat. The weather has also issued a yellow alert for two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to western disturbance, changes will now be seen in the northern part of the country. Due to this, activities like snowfall, heavy rains may occur in the higher Himalayan areas. At the same time, there are chances of light rain with strong wind in Delhi and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department estimates that during this period the wind speed may range from 30 to 40 km per hour.

Weather changed suddenly at night
The weather suddenly changed in Delhi NCR on Friday night. The wind which started after 8 pm turned into a strong gale by 10 pm. Due to this, there was power failure in most areas of the city at night. Suddenly a storm started at quarter to ten in the night. There are also reports of broken electric wires at many places. Due to this, traffic jam situation arose in many areas.

There was bright sunshine on Friday morning
At the same time, there was bright sunshine in Delhi in the morning on Friday, but the movement of clouds continued in between, that is why the temperature did not increase rapidly. The maximum temperature was 39 degrees and the minimum was 27.7 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in the air remained between 69 to 43 percent. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be cloudy on Saturday. The maximum temperature can be 39 degrees Celsius. At the same time, it may drop by two degrees on Sunday.

On the other hand, according to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s AQI was 180 on Friday. This level of air is classified as ‘moderate’. The air quality level is likely to remain around this during the next two days also.
