MediaTek Helio G200 unveiled: Offers faster GPU along with better HDR for videos

MediaTek has unveiled its latest SoC for smartphone manufacturers across the globe. The MediaTek Helio G200 SoC offers an upgrade over the Helio G100 and the number speaks about it. The SoC offers highest GPU clock speed along with HDR video quality for the camera. The new chipset will offer improved browsing social networking apps.
“The MediaTek Helio G200 is designed for powerful all‑day gaming and exceptional battery life, while offering new 12‑bit DCG camera support for video HDR capture and enhanced 4G connectivity for social apps and messaging services, improving effective cellular range and overall user experience,” mentioned the press leak by the company.
MediaTek Helio G200 is a 6nm chipset and gets 12-bit DCG support for better HDR in videos. When it comes to CPU, it offers two Cortex-A76 cores (2.2GHz) along with six A55 (2.0GHz) cores. When it comes to GPU, we get a Mali-G57 MC2 that is clocked at 1.1GHz and up to 1.0GHz.
In terms of performance, the company has claimed that MediaTek Helio G200 offers more than 35% faster Antutu performance, more than 50% faster social apps launch speed and up to 30% more power-efficient in games.
Smartphones opting for the chipset is expected to offer larger 200MP primary camera sensors along with more detailed images. When it comes to gaming, the MediaTek HyperEngine offers intelligent management of CPU, GPU as well as memory based on power for long lasting and power efficient gaming experience. The Intelligent Display Sync technology offers up to 20% improved power savings.
For connectivity purposes, the device gets category-13 DL LTE modem, Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.2.
