Medak: dos muertos y tres heridos al volar cometas

Sangareddy: Two people died and three others died as a result of a fight while flying comets during the festival of Sankranti in Medak. While one victim got electrocuted, the other fell on a two-storey building. According to villagers, Shiv Kumar (22) was flying a comet from his house in Pottipalli village of Jharasangam mandal when his comet fell on the electric wires with electric current. While collecting comet from the live cable, Kumar came in contact with the live cable and got electrocuted. In another incident, a man named Subramaniam (35) also came in contact with current carrying electrical wires when a Comet was flying from the second floor of his father-in-law’s house in Jogipet town on Sunday. While collecting the comet of cables, he came in contact with live wires and slipped out of the two-storey building. He died on the way to Sangareddy Government Hospital. Subramaniam’s wife Chamundeshwari Devi and his son also suffered injuries while trying to save themselves from the building collapse. In another incident, a youth suffered serious neck injuries when a small sugar desiccant hit his neck while he was cycling through Ramayampet town. The victim was Dandu Mahender (22) of Nizampet mandal seat. Earlier on January 7, a 7-year-old boy had died while flying a comet in Markuk, Siddipet.
