Tamil Nadu: The names of MDMK candidates contesting in the DMK alliance have been announced.
The MDMK party, part of the DMK alliance, has been allotted four seats in the assembly elections. Following the seat allocation on Saturday, MDMK General Secretary Vaiko released the list of candidates. According to the list, candidates will be contesting in Madurai South – Bhoominathan, Modakkurichi – Senthilnathan, Kadayanallur – D.M. Rajendran, and Sirkazhi – Senthilselvan.
The MDMK is contesting in the Modakkurichi, Madurai South, and Kadayanallur constituencies under the Udayasoorian symbol, and in the Sirkazhi assembly constituency under a separate symbol.
The DMK will directly contest 164 seats in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Alliance parties will contest in 11 seats under the ‘Udayasoorian’ symbol. MDMK is contesting on 3 seats, Kongu Makkal National Party and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi on 2 seats each, and Mukkulathor Tiger Party, Manithaneya Janaka Party, STBI, and Tamil Desam Party on 1 seat each on DMK’s Udayasoorian symbol.
