MBBS, MBBS: 35,000 applications received so far

Tamil Nadu : So far, 35,000 people have registered for MBBS and BDS courses.

It is reported that out of these, 22,428 applications have been completed and submitted.

There are 5,200 MBBS seats in 36 government medical colleges and KK Nagar ESI Medical College in Tamil Nadu. Of these, 888 seats are given under the All India quota. Apart from this, there are 3,450 seats in self-financing colleges and 550 seats in private medical universities for MBBS course. In total, counselling is being conducted for 9,200 MBBS seats in government and private colleges.

Of this, 496 seats are given to government school students under the 7.5 percent quota. As far as BDS seats are concerned, there are 250 seats in government medical colleges and 1,900 seats in private colleges. Of this, 126 seats are reserved for government school students.

According to this, this year students will be selected for 11,350 medical seats. For this, online application registration has started from the 6th. It was told that applications can be registered through the website https://tnmedicalselection.org/. This year, application registration has started even before the release of NEET results. It is expected that the number of applications will increase this time, as there is more time. In this regard, a total of 35,000 people have applied for administrative quota and government quota seats so far. According to the Directorate of Medical Education, out of these, 22,428 applications have been completed and submitted. The applications will be reviewed by the end of this month or next month and the rank list will be published. After this, it is expected that medical counseling will start.
