Tandoor: On the occasion of Vasant Panchami, mass literacy programmes and food distribution programmes were organized at Anganwadi centres in Tandoor and Madaram sectors on Friday.
At Gopal Nagar Anganwadi Center, Bellampalli ADA Rajnarender, Tandoor Agriculture Officer K Sushma, Sarpanch Gatla Narsayya, Supervisor Ramadevi, and at Madaram-9 Anganwadi Center, Sarpanch Kushnapalli Laxman and Supervisor Swarooparani were present as the chief guests and conducted literacy and food distribution.
Speaking on the occasion, they explained to the mothers the importance of nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, and the ills caused by malnutrition, and created awareness about a balanced diet. Later, they administered a pledge. Deputy Sarpanch Gajula Sunitha, Anganwadi teachers, nannies, mothers, and children participated in the program.
