New Delhi. The updated Swift will be launched by Maruti Suzuki on 9 May 2024. Even before the launch, 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift has started arriving at dealerships and its first glimpse has been revealed. Interested customers can pre-book it for a token amount of Rs 1,000.
The hatchback present at the dealership is white in colour. However, it is going to come in many color options. Fog lamps have now been added to its India spec model, which are LED units. Apart from this, this hatch was seen in a new set of alloy wheels.
Recently, a document related to 2024 Swift was leaked, which revealed many things about the new hatchback. The leaked document claims that Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2024 Swift with a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. This will be a mild-hybrid unit, which will come with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.
This engine is capable of producing maximum power of 80 bhp and peak torque of 112 Nm. This engine promises to give a mileage of 25.72 kilometers per liter. The power output of the new Swift has reduced compared to the old version but it will give better mileage.
In terms of features, the new Swift will come with 6 airbags as standard to enhance its safety. Swift has scored 4-stars in the recently conducted crash test by Japan NCAP. Apart from six airbags, it is expected that the higher variants of Swift will get 360-degree camera and HUD display.
