The updated Dzire features an aggressive front bumper, stylish LED headlights with horizontal daytime running lights, a wider grille with multiple horizontal bars and redesigned fog lamp housings. However, the silhouette remains the same as the previous model. The shoulder line of this sedan is more pronounced. Other features include a shark fin antenna, tailgate spoiler and Y-shaped LED taillights mounted on a chrome bar.
The interior of the Dzire is finished in beige and black with faux wood accents on the dashboard. Features of this phone include an analog driver display, cruise control, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, air conditioning with rear vents and a single-pane sunroof.
The new Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine carried over from the Swift. This unit produces 80 hp and 112 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT. This phone will be available in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi Plus variants. The CNG fuel efficiency was 33.73 km/kg.
The updated compact sedan from Maruti Suzuki comes with a host of safety features including rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags (standard), 360-degree camera (a first in the segment) and pedestrian protection. The updated Dzire is expected to be priced around Rs 670,000, ex-showroom. It will compete with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and Honda Amaze in the segment.
