Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 recalled in India, know the reason in details

Maruti Suzuki has recalled the Alto K10 hatchback in India. The affected cars will be fixed for free revealed sources. However, the company has yet to reveal the time period during which the faulty models were detected. The company has recalled 2555 units of Alto K10 due to a fault in the ‘steering gearbox assembly’.

Maruti has revealed that the affected unit owners will be contacted by the company dealer workshops for the inspection of the faulty part. The replacement of the faulty part will be carried out free of cost. Maruti Suzuki has advised the owners of the affected units of Alto K10 not to use or drive their vehicles till the issue is fixed.

The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission or optional 5-speed AMT. The hatchback also has an optional factory-fit CNG kit.

Speaking about prices, the Alto K10 starts at Rs 3.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.96 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the hatchback is available with a discount of up to Rs 50,100 this month.
