Raipur. 1. In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, fulfilling one more guarantee given by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Chhattisgarh, an important decision was taken to start Ramlala Darshan (Ayodhya Dham) scheme in the state.
It is known that the consecration of Ram Lalla is going to happen on January 22 in the religious city of Ayodhya. Chhattisgarh government has announced to take the people of the state to Ayodhya to have darshan of Shri Ramlala. In compliance with which Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme is being started. The implementation of this scheme will be done by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and the budget will be provided by the Tourism Department. Under this scheme, every year about 20 thousand pilgrims will be taken on a journey for Shri Ramlala darshan.
Residents of Chhattisgarh state in the age group of 18 to 75 who are found fit in the health examination by the District Medical Board will be eligible for travel. For disabled people, as far as possible, one member of their family will stay with them. In the first phase, this facility will be available to passengers above 55 years of age. After this, this facility will be given to people of other age groups also. For this, Shri Ramlala Darshan Committee will be formed in every district under the chairmanship of the Collector. Beneficiaries will be selected by each committee according to proportionate quota.
The distance of this journey will be approximately 900 kilometers. For this, an MoU will be signed by Chhattisgarh Division with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). IRCTC will make arrangements for security, health, food, sightseeing, local transport and escort to the passengers during the journey.
Arrangements for bringing the beneficiaries from their residence to the designated railway station and back will be made by the concerned District Collector. For this, a budget will be provided to them. A competent government officer or a small team will be sent along with the passengers from each district. The passengers will leave for their destination by rail from Durg-Raipur, Raigarh and Ambikapur.
The original destination of the yatra will be Ayodhya Dham. Along with this, passengers will also be able to get the benefit of one day night stay in Varanasi, darshan of Kashi Vishwanath Temple and corridor and Ganga Aarti. At present, IRCTC will provide one train every week. In future, the number of passengers can be increased as per the availability of the train.
