Mancherial: Two daily wage labourers digging for the basement of a hospital under construction here on Tuesday sustained injuries when soil from the premises of a neighbouring building fell on them. Aratipamulu Ramulu of CCC Corner sustained minor head injuries while Arikela Gangaraju of Dharmaraopet in Kasipet sustained minor injuries on his legs when soil from the adjacent building fell on them, Mancherial Inspector R Bansilal said. They were immediately rushed to a hospital and were stated to be stable. They were employed by the owner of a private hospital. Based on a complaint received from Gangaraju’s wife, a case was registered against Ramesh, a civil engineer, under Section 337 (causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code. An investigation has been initiated.
