Tamil Nadu: The Management Education Department of IIT Madras has launched a B.S. course in Management and Data Science.
The launch of the new degree program took place on Saturday at the IIT Chennai campus. Director V. Kamakoti told reporters: IIT Chennai already offers three B.S. courses: Data Science, Electronic Systems, and Aeronautics-Space Technology. Now, we are launching a fourth, four-year Bachelor of Science degree program called Management and Data Science (B.S. Management and Data Science).
Those who successfully complete this course will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the IIT, which will be recognized as equivalent to any other bachelor’s degree awarded by this educational institution.
Eligibility for Study
Anyone can enroll in this course, including those who have completed Plus 2 or equivalent educational qualifications and have a diploma. There is no age limit or student status restriction. Learners can pursue this course as a stand-alone degree course, or as part of another educational program, or while working.
Candidates will be admitted to this course either through a qualifying examination or by qualifying the JEE Main (Advanced) examination.
Online…: Exams for this course will be held on Sundays for working students and students. Depending on the syllabus, exams will be held across India or online through a remote supervisor. Classes will begin in June. You can apply until May 31st. The new B.S. syllabus and student details for the course have been published on the website https://study.iitm.ac.in/mg.
