Man stabbed son in anger, arrested

New Delhi (IANS) | On Father’s Day, a 64-year-old man stabbed his 23-year-old son to death in East Delhi’s IP Extension area in a fit of rage. Police have arrested the accused. The police gave this information on Sunday. Police say that the accused stabbed the son with a knife when he was trying to pacify the quarrel.

Accused Ashok Singh retired from the post of Senior Manager from Engineers India Limited. The son of the accused, Aditya, is a computer engineer and works in Gurugram. The injured Aditya has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Ashok bought a flat in Gurugram and instructed his wife Manju to download an app on her cell phone to make the payments.

The app was taking time to download, the official said. This enraged Ashoka, and a quarrel broke out between the husband and wife. His son Aditya tried to pacify him. That’s why Ashok got angry and stabbed his son.

Ashok stabbed son Aditya twice with a knife. He was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for treatment. He was later discharged after treatment.

The police have registered an FIR in this regard under section 324 of the IPC.
