Khurda: A man was killed while two others sustained injury after a tyre pressure tank exploded in Khordha district of Odisha on Wednesday morning. The incident took place at the Dadhimachha Gadia chhaka on the National Highway 16 under Khordha Sadar Police Station limits.
The deceased mechanic has been identified as Nabaghana Parida.
As per reports, the tyre pressure tank exploded today morning at the Maa Bhagabati Tyre Pressure shop when the mechanic of the shop was putting pressure to tyres.
Reportedly, the intensity of the explosion was so high that it sounded like a bombardment. The garage owner cum head mechanic was killed due to this explosion while two others sustained injury.
The locals rescued the two injured persons and rushed them to the hospital in Khurda for treatment.
After getting information Khordha Sadar Thana police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Further inquiry of the case is underway.
