Athgarh: In a shocking incident a man allegedly cut the nose of his daughter-in-law in Athgarh block of Cuttack district in Odisha, said reports on Monday.
Reports further suggest that the reason for this extreme step was related to some family related dispute. The incident took place in Gobara village under Gurudijhatia police station jurisdiction.
Following the incident, the woman has been rushed to the hospital in a critical condition. The father-in-law allegedly pounced upon the woman with a kitchen knife and cut off her nose.
The police has detained the man and is questioning him. Detailed reports awaited in this regard.
In a shocking incident earlier today, a man has allegedly killed his wife in Jaleswar block of Balasore district in Odisha.
According to reports, there was family related disagreement between the wife and the husband in which in a fit of rage, the man killed his wife. The incident took place in Banida village of Jaleswar block in Balasore district.
The locals of the area heard the scream of the wife and reached the spot. Only to find her dead. They immediately informed the local police. The police rushed to the spot and detained the alleged attacker husband. They then recovered the body and sent it for post mortem.
The husband is being questioned relating to the incident. From preliminary investigation it has been found that the offence took place due to a family related dispute. Further investigation is underway. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
