Tamil Nadu: PMK candidate Soumya Ambumani, while seeking votes in the Dharmapuri constituency on Saturday, said that if the AIADMK wins and comes to power, steps will be taken to waive crop loans taken by farmers from cooperative banks.
Soumya Ambumani is contesting the Dharmapuri Assembly constituency in Dharmapuri district on behalf of the PMK in the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance. On Saturday, she campaigned in areas including Puravada and Jeevan Nagar under the Nallampally union. She said at the time: Dharmapuri district is the only district in Tamil Nadu where the highest liquor is sold. Because of this, the income of working people is decreasing. I will make serious efforts to eliminate liquor in Tamil Nadu. For this, an AIADMK government must be formed in Tamil Nadu.
Similarly, steps will be taken to waive crop loans taken by farmers from cooperative banks. Therefore, support the PMK in the Dharmapuri constituency, she said. PMK MLA Venkateshwaran, AIADMK union secretary Sivaprakasam and coalition party officials, among others, participated in the campaign.
