Major incident averted in Bijapur, police destroyed 25 kg IED bombs

Bijapur. Bijapur police has got a big success on Sunday. The BDS team found and destroyed a 25 kg IED planted by Maoists on the road near the paddy market at a distance of 3 km from Usoor on the Usoor-Awapalli main road. The Maoists had placed the IED in a plastic container in the middle of the road.

According to media reports, the Maoists had placed the IED in a plastic container on the main road with the command switch system with the intention of damaging big vehicles. The IED could have caused harm to the general public. Planting IEDs on the main road in this manner without caring about the lives of the general public with the intention of harming the security forces shows the panic of the Maoists. It is clear from the action being taken by the security forces against the Maoists that their nefarious intentions will never succeed.
