Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave information about the proposed schemes for farmers and women during a program organized at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow on Tuesday. He said that the state government is continuously working to increase the income of farmers, make women economically stronger and improve the living standards of workers. The objective of the government is to extend the benefits of the schemes to every section of the society.
The Chief Minister said that during the recent past, farmers’ crops have been damaged due to excessive rain, hailstorm, storm and other natural causes in various areas of the state. At many places, standing crops in the fields have been affected, causing financial crisis to the farmers. The government is preparing a special economic package to provide relief to such farmers.
He said that the process of providing compensation to the farmers affected by natural disasters is also going on. The government is trying to provide timely financial assistance to the farmers who have suffered losses, so that they can prepare for farming again and do not have to face financial problems.
According to the Chief Minister, about three crore farmer families of the state will benefit from the proposed relief package. However, the total amount of this package, eligibility conditions and detailed details of the assistance to farmers have not been announced yet. The government is expected to issue guidelines in this regard soon.

He said that the state government will bring a special package with the aim of making women self-reliant. Its objective is to connect women with economic activities and increase employment and self-employment opportunities for them.
Curiosity has increased in the state regarding the upcoming package for women. Such a scheme can prove important especially for women from rural areas, members of self-help groups and women doing small scale business. However, the government has not yet clarified what type of financial assistance or facilities will be provided under the new package.
The Chief Minister said that women empowerment is not limited to just providing financial assistance, but making women self-reliant and developing permanent sources of their income is also the priority of the government.
In the same program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also announced the opening of Annapurna Bhojnalaya for farmers and workers. A large number of farmers reach agricultural markets to sell their produce. Many times they have to wait for hours for the sale of their crops and other processes. In such a situation, farmers have to face problems due to lack of proper food arrangements. They are expected to get facilities with the opening of Annapurna Restaurant.
Similarly, every day a large number of workers reach the labor bases in search of employment. Eating at a market can be financially difficult for low-income workers. In such a situation, cheap restaurants can prove helpful in reducing their daily expenses. However, detailed details of food prices, number of eateries and operating arrangements have not been revealed yet.
Earlier on Monday, November 2, the Uttar Pradesh government had also taken an important decision for the outsourced employees of the state. The government has set new rates of minimum honorarium for outsourced employees working in various departments.
According to the government order, except the first category, the remuneration of outsourced employees of other categories has been increased by about one and a half times. About 2.72 lakh employees of the state are expected to benefit from this decision. The new rates are considered effective from September 2, 2026 and the outstanding differential amount is also to be paid to the employees.
The decision to increase the honorarium is being seen as a big relief for outsourced employees before Diwali. For a long time, employees were demanding increase in minimum wages and improvement in payment system.
