With the aim of making women self-reliant, the Chhattisgarh government has started the Mahtari Vandan Scheme. Through this scheme, the women of the state receive financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month directly in their bank account through DBT. The positive results of this scheme are being seen all over the state. Geeta Nayak, a resident of Korkoma of Korba development block, praised the scheme and said that this is a meaningful effort towards women empowerment. The amount received from the scheme has become a support for needy women in difficult times. She said that by getting Rs 1000 in the account every month from the Mahtari Vandan Scheme run by the Chhattisgarh government, women find it easy to meet their small and big needs. Beneficiary Nayak said that her husband Nilambar Nayak does farming. For the last 6 months, she has been receiving money under the scheme. Which she uses to meet the needs of herself and her family, teaching children and arranging nutritious food for them. 50-year-old Usha Adil, a resident of Silatra village of Raipur district, who is being benefited, said that she is very happy today after receiving the Mahtari Vandan amount. I cannot express it in words. She is using the amount for her college-studying daughter Nimmi. She said that her daughter is studying in the second year of B.Sc. The amount is being used to pay the college fees.
Prema Verma of the same village expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state, Vishnu Dev Sai. She said that she will buy a silver jewellery for her 7-year-old granddaughter Chitranshi and gift it to her. Mrs. Santoshi Khunte, a resident of village Raita in Raipur district, said that she does not have to depend on others to fulfill small needs. She will use the money to fulfill her needs. Mrs. Archana Padmawar, a resident of Raipur, said that she is using the money to buy her essential medicines.
Parvati Mongre, a resident of village Jeevatara in Mahasamund district, said that her son Narayan is doing B.Sc. She is using the money to buy his notebooks and pay his fees. Santoshi, a resident of village Kanekera in Mahasamund district, said that Modi has fulfilled his guarantee. He did what he said. Mrs. Chumeshwari Dubey, a resident of village Armari in Balod district, said that she is using the money received from Mahtari Vandan to buy nutritious fruits, flowers and ration material so that the health of the children can improve.
