Mahasamund. The state government’s ambitious Mahtari Vandan Yojana is filling the stomachs of the entire family with satisfaction. In fact, in the same house, the sister-in-law and the elder sister-in-law get Mahtari Vandan amount of one thousand rupees each every month. The husband is often out of work. They had to wait for him to buy small kitchen needs and vegetables.
But after getting Mahtari Vandan amount, both of them buy the necessary ingredients and vegetables for the kitchen from time to time and cook food with full affection and serve it to the family members. Food is cooked for 10 people in their family. This wisdom of Mrs. Jharna Dhruv and Mrs. Khileswari Dhruv, residents of village Bemcha of Mahasamund development block, was also liked by their family members. Both laughingly say that since the government is giving us equal amount without any discrimination, we also spend equally. She says that there is no greater satisfaction than feeding the husband and other family members when they come home tired from work and this arrangement by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is indeed an important factor of satisfaction and happiness not only for women but also for the family members.
