Maharashtra: Woman poisoned her 9-month-old baby before committing suicide

Maharashtra: A woman poisoned her nine-month-old son before committing suicide by hanging herself in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. However, he was saved. A case has been registered against three people in the case. An official gave this information on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the husband and in-laws of the victim after the mother of the deceased woman accused them of harassing her daughter. The official said that the deceased woman has been identified as Pallavi Vinod Dhoke, she fed some pesticide to her son and committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Shegaon (BK) village of the district on Friday evening. Other family members were out at the time of the incident. He said that after returning home, the family members called the police who took Pallavi and the child to the hospital, where doctors declared Pallavi dead. The official said that after this the child has been shifted to a private hospital in Chandrapur where his condition is said to be stable. An official said that based on the complaint of Pallavi’s mother, the police have registered a case against Pallavi’s husband and her in-laws. Pallavi’s mother has accused her in-laws of torturing her daughter for money.
