Annamalai said – give one year’s chance to the TVK government
Chennai, July 7:
K. Annamalai, founder of the “We the Leaders” movement and former Tamil Nadu BJP chief, has expressed support for any government that takes strong measures to curb corruption, regardless of political differences. Speaking at an organization meeting in New Jersey, he said his movement would fully support governments that prioritize transparency and anti-corruption measures.
Highlighting the challenges facing a newly formed government, Annamalai stressed that the government should be given at least a year to understand governance, stabilize the system, and deliver results. Comparing it to a corporate environment, he said that even in a new job, it takes six months to a year to fully understand the processes and responsibilities.
He also pointed out that many members of the current cabinet are first-time ministers with little administrative experience, and therefore need time to adjust.
Stressing on constructive criticism rather than obstruction, Annamalai said his movement would welcome any positive steps taken for Tamil Nadu and continue to support efforts aimed at eliminating corruption.
