Maharashtra: Ujni dam, which had minus 60 per cent water storage on June 7 due to less rainfall last year, has a huge water storage of 122.50 TMC on Wednesday, October 3. As the dam is full to capacity, more than 106 TMC water has been released from the dam through Bhima river in the last two months for flood control. On the other hand, due to abundant water storage in Ujni dam, one crore 74 lakh units of electricity has been generated through the power generation project operated on the dam. Its cost is around Rs 6 crore.
