Kawardha. The report of infectious disease lumpy virus has come positive in the samples of three animals of Sahaspur Lohara development block, while the sample report of 14 animals has come negative. Presently the situation is under control in all the development blocks including Sahapur Lohara. On the instructions of the Collector, the Livestock Development Department is running a vaccination campaign on mission mode for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in cattle.
Collector Janmejay Mahobe reviewed the progress of all the priority schemes of the state government, including lumpy virus, preparation of contemporary farming, storage of fertilizers and seeds, distribution, farmers loan, plantation and priority of the state government in the meeting of the deadline today. In the meeting, Deputy Director Livestock Development Dr. SK Mishra said that in the sample report of three animals of Sahaspur Lohara of the district, the report of Lumpy Virus has come positive. A total of 17 animal samples were sent by the department to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Bhopal for testing for lumpy virus. 14 sample reports have come negative. For the last one month, vaccination campaign was conducted on mission mode for the prevention of infectious diseases spreading in cattle in the district, as a result of which the situation is currently under control. Collector Mr. Mahobe directed in the meeting that the villages whose reports have come positive, especially those villages, have been instructed to conduct health tests and 100 percent vaccination of animals. It was told in the meeting that till now 1 lakh 67 thousand 863 animals have been vaccinated. Vaccination work is going on.
For effective prevention of Lumpy virus, the Collector has given instructions for continuous checking in all the entry main roads of the district. In the meeting, the Deputy Director Livestock Development has talked about coordination with the Forest Department, this will make prevention easier. The Collector has instructed the Forest Department to cooperate with the Livestock Development Department.
The Collector reviewed the status of Chief Minister’s meeting, applications received from the Chief Minister’s Janchoupal, instructions received from the state government, applications received during the field visits of honorable ministers and the progress of redressal of applications received in the Collector’s Janchoupal. The Collector has directed the District Transport Officer in the meeting to properly operate the new bus stand and ensure the stoppage of the buses. The Collector has given instructions to form a team of officers to conduct Millets Cape with high quality. For its better operation, the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and the urban body have been given the responsibility. As per the announcement of the Chief Minister, the Collector has given instructions to speed up the construction works of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Chilfi, Kawardha, Podi. Collector instructed to include high protein-vitamin rich Kodo-Kutki and Ragi grains and food items made from them in hot cooked food provided to children and pregnant mothers under Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign and Putt Baro-Seri Flood Campaign are given. In the meeting, instructions have been given for the implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Landless Laborer Justice Yojana and for the proper registration of new beneficiaries. While reviewing the implementation of Unemployment Allowance Scheme, the Collector directed to provide training to the eligible beneficiaries-youth according to their interest for skill development and making them efficient for self-employment under this scheme.
