Ludhiana: HVM Convent Senior Secondary School, New Subhash Nagar celebrated Teachers’ Day at Jathedar Farm House and remembered the contributions of teachers. Various games like musical chair, antakshari, one minute and hand-eye coordination were organised for the teachers. After the games, the teachers rocked the dance floor with their dance moves. School President DP Sharma, Chairman Dilbagh Singh and all the members of the school administration appreciated the role of teachers in the lives of students.
Harvest International School
The students of Harvest International School, Jassowal, made their presence felt in the district level swimming competition held at the swimming pool of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Noorvanshpal topped the freestyle event in the boys under-11 category, while Pooja secured third position in the girls’ category in the same event and age group.
Kishori Lal Jethi Government Girls School
The International Clean Air Blue Sky Day was celebrated at Kishori Lal Jethi Government Girls School Khanna in coordination with Khanna Municipal Corporation. Khanna MLA Tarunpreet Singh Sondh was the chief guest at the event and SDO Pritpal Kaur, SDO Sanatpreet Singh and Pollution Board EO Charanjit Singh were also present. The MLA delivered a speech on clean air and urged the students to keep their environment clean. MC’s Maninder Singh informed the children about single-use plastic. A painting competition on the topic of environment was also organised for the students.
Khalsa College for Women
Once again proving their mettle, the students of the Post Graduate Mathematics Department of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines have cleared the MSc Mathematics (IV) examination conducted by the Punjab University, Chandigarh. Ratandeep Kaur secured third position in the university and first position in the college by scoring 88.85 per cent marks. Tania Arora secured fourth position in PU and second position in the college by scoring 88.5 per cent marks and Ravanur Kaur secured third position in the college by scoring 84.4 per cent marks.
Sat Paul Mittal School
Sat Paul Mittal School celebrated Teachers’ Day by honouring the dedication and excellence of its teachers and staff. An event was held at the Mittal Auditorium. The celebrations began with a welcome address by Bipin Gupta, Vice Chairman of the Governing Council, who highlighted the significance of the event and underlined the school’s commitment to excellence. He spoke about the profound impact teachers have on the lives of their students and reaffirmed the school’s dedication to supporting and empowering its teachers. This was followed by a slew of creative performances presented by the teachers of Sat Paul Mittal School. The Teachers’ Day Awards were the highlight of the event. The Teacher of the Year award was presented to Puja Sachdeva, Divya Malik and Arvinder Kaur.
