Ludhiana: The body of a man was found floating in Budha Nullah on Tajpur Road on Sunday morning. The condition of the body was so bad that even the face of the deceased was not recognizable. It seemed that the deceased had been lying dead in the drain for the last several days. Seeing the body, passersby raised an alarm and informed the police. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and with the help of divers, took out the body from the drain.
The police said that it seems that the person died about five days ago. Tajpur police post in-charge SI Janak Raj said that the body of the person is kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital, which has not been identified. An investigation has been started to find out the reasons for his death. Local residents will also be questioned and CCTV cameras of the area will also be checked to get clues.
