Ludhiana: On February 21, in Gorsian Khan Mohammad village, Sidhwan Bet area, some men kidnapped a boy named Harpreet Singh from his home on suspicion of stealing pigeons. They took the victim to their home, tied him to a pole, and brutally beat him with sticks and belts. The accused recorded the entire incident and shared the video on social media. Harpreet pleaded innocence, but the attackers ignored his cries and continued the assault.
Upon receiving information, Harpreet’s father went to the accused’s home with the police. The police team rescued Harpreet and took him to the police station. He was later taken to the Civil Hospital in Jagraon. He suffered injuries to his back and legs. His family said that a local family had lost their pigeons and they suspected Harpreet had stolen them. Despite repeated denials, the attackers showed no mercy. Police said an investigation has been launched.
