Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Second phase of voting ends in these areas, polling parties returning
Raipur. Voting is going on for the second phase in Chhattisgarh for 3 Lok Sabha seats Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Kanker. However, voting ended at 3 pm in all three Lok Sabha assembly constituencies. These include Mohalla-Manpur of Rajnandgaon, Bhanupratappur of Kanker Lok Sabha, 9 booths of Kanker, Keshkal and Bindranwagarh of Mahasamund Lok Sabha. At these places only the people present at the booth will be able to vote. Voting will continue till 6 pm at the remaining places.
Till 1 pm, 53.09 percent voting took place on all three seats. In the second phase, 41 candidates including veteran leaders of Congress and BJP are in the fray. The fate of these candidates will be decided by 52,84,938 voters. Meanwhile, while on election duty in Gariaband, a soldier committed suicide by shooting himself with a service rifle.
Like the first phase of voting, this time too, apart from Raipur, the Election Commission is also monitoring the voting from Delhi. Polling stations are being monitored through web casting (online). If any mistake is noticed, the concerned nodal will be instructed to take immediate action. In the second phase, 2 lakh 22 thousand soldiers have been deployed.
