Raipur. Under the direction of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the district administration has launched an innovative initiative, “Project Udyami,” for economic empowerment. A grand credit camp was organized today at the Janpad Panchayat, Arang. Information about various departmental schemes was provided, and benefits were distributed directly to eligible beneficiaries. Chief guest Naveen Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of the Raipur District Panchayat, distributed checks and acceptance letters to beneficiaries. He said, “Such camps not only boost the rural economy but also deliver benefits directly to the public. The district administration’s innovation, “Project Udyami,” will become a powerful tool for empowering youth and rural communities to become self-reliant in the future.”
Project Udyami: An Innovation of the District Administration
The biggest achievement of the credit camp was Project Udyami, under which loans worth ₹9.59 crore were distributed to 405 beneficiaries. This initiative aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship by providing financial assistance to youth and rural entrepreneurs.
Achievements of Various Departments
At the camp, the Revenue Department provided certificates to 7 beneficiaries and registered an agreement for 1 beneficiary. The Agriculture Department provided KCCs to 22 beneficiaries. Under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, ₹12.62 lakh was sanctioned to 8 women self-help groups under the NRLM, and loans worth ₹132.12 lakh were distributed to 37 groups. Additionally, under the Enterprise Finance Scheme, loans were sanctioned to 2 group members, and loans worth ₹41 lakh were provided to 45 members. The Silk Department offered a grant of ₹5 lakh to 35 beneficiaries and provided information on silk production to 50 individuals. The Animal Husbandry Department provided KCC benefits to 35 beneficiaries and provided information on animal husbandry to 70 individuals. The Horticulture Department distributed grafted eggplant and tomato plants to 29 farmers, approved a plan to plant bananas on 10 hectares, and provided bitter gourd, bottle gourd, and okra seeds to 200 farmers. The Health Department issued Ayushman cards for 10 people and conducted health checkups for 15 individuals. The Sports Department registered 20 youth for sports.
A New Direction for Rural Development
This credit camp proves that the Raipur District Administration’s innovation, “Project Udyami,” is not just a means of providing benefits under various schemes, but a concrete initiative to strengthen the rural economy, promote entrepreneurship, and empower people with self-reliance. The program was attended by District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kumar Biswaranjan, officials and employees from various departments, and a large number of beneficiaries.
