Liquor coachman arrested in Hiranagar

Raipur. As per the instructions of the Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police, and under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police (City) and Additional Superintendent of Police (City), continuous action is being taken against illegal liquor in the Urla police station area. In this context, on January 1, information was received from an informant that a person in Hiranagar Satnami Para Achholi was illegally storing country liquor for sale.
Acting immediately on the information, Urla police, under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Tej Ram Kanwar, cordoned off the area and apprehended an accused. A total of 45 pounds of country liquor was seized from the accused’s possession. When asked for the accused’s name, he identified himself as Santosh Dhidhi, son of Tula Ram Dhidhi. The recovered liquor was duly seized after a panchnama was prepared on the spot.
A case has been registered against the accused under Crime No. 01/26, Section 34(2) of the Excise Act, and legal action is being taken. The accused is being questioned in this case, and the source of the illicit liquor is also being investigated. The Urla Raipur Police appeal to the public to report any information about illicit liquor or any illegal activity to the nearest police station, police control room, or 112. The informant’s name will be kept confidential.
