Leopard entered Sitapur village, villagers panic

Shahjahanpur: The terror of leopard still persists in Khutar area of Shahjahanpur. The leopard chased the dog and reached the population in village Sitapur at around 4 am on Monday morning. When the villagers made noise by lighting torches, he ran towards the fields. The forest workers who arrived on information returned after seeing the footprints.
The leopard has been roaming near villages Sitapur, Saharru, Mahua Pimai, Narautha Hansram, Narautha Devidas for many days. On February 22, the leopard attacked and injured Deepak Kumar, a resident of Narotha Devidas, who was peeling sugarcane. On receiving the information, DFO Prakhar Gupta had formed teams to drive the leopard towards the forest, but did not understand the need to install cameras to record the movement of the leopard.
Leopard reached villager’s house
Sarfuddin, a resident of Sitapur village, told that he was sleeping in his house early on Monday. Suddenly his eyes opened when he heard someone jumping. When he opened the door, his pet dog came running into the house.
There was a leopard outside, who went towards the field after lighting the torch and making noise. In the morning the forest workers reached the spot, traced the footprints and went back. Villagers say that the leopard has killed stray animals and Nilgai. Can attack any person at any time. There is a huge threat to people’s lives.
Villagers should not go out alone in the morning and evening
Ranger Manoj Srivastava said that forest personnel have been deployed to chase the leopard towards the forest. The villagers have also been warned not to go out of the village alone in the morning and evening. Keep making noise while working in the field. Stay away from bushes and go into the fields only with a stick or stick.
