Thiruvananthapuram (IANS) | Veteran Congress leader A.K. Antony’s son Anil Antony said on Wednesday that leave his father alone. Anil has recently joined BJP. Anil was on Monday among a select few who shared the dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a gathering in Kochi.

All eyes were on Anil during the rally and when Modi came on stage, the Prime Minister patted Anil on the back and spoke a few words.

On Tuesday, Anil reached his parents’ house in the state capital for the first time after officially joining the BJP.

On Wednesday, he was seen for the first time at the local BJP office and when asked how things were at home, he replied, “I have the highest respect for my parents and my brother.” there is no problem.

Anil said, please leave my father alone as he has retired after 52 years of politics. Now the party is being led by Rahul Gandhi and others. It is only Modi who can take the country forward as the present Congress party is not what he had seen.

Ever since Anil decided to join the BJP, the 82-year-old Congress veteran has been in deep pain.

Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the national leadership of BJP as to which post will be given to Anil. He is not a good speaker like his father.
