Leader arrested, woman’s honour looted at residence

New Delhi: A Trinamool Congress leader has been arrested on charges of rape. The accused Narayan Mitra is also a trade union leader. He is accused of raping a woman at his residence. The victim’s family says that he sexually exploited the woman at his residence in Bankura for two-three days. An FIR has been registered in this case. TMC has suspended him from the trade union.

The Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal is currently under fire for the rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Hospital. There is anger among doctors across the country including West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee met the doctors on Saturday, although this meeting remained inconclusive. Doctors had reached Banerjee’s residence to attend the meeting.

The doctors demanded that this meeting be live streamed. Mamata Banerjee did not agree to this. She said you cannot insult me ​​like this. She said that the meeting can be recorded but it will be made public only after the approval of the Supreme Court. The doctors said that the Chief Secretary had refused to do live streaming.

In this case, the CBI has arrested the former principal of RG Kar Hospital, Sandeep Ghosh and a policeman. Sandeep Ghosh is accused of tampering with evidence. Earlier, Sandeep Ghosh was arrested in a corruption case and he was continuously interrogated for several days.
