He said that this entire dispute was about property, due to which the advocate was murdered. This property was purchased in 2011. There were some other partners with him, who later withdrew their names from the deal. Their aim was to remove the tenants who were living on the property. The accused had got the place vacated by threatening many tenants. They had also pressurized senior advocate Kanishka Mehrotra to vacate the place. But Kanishk Mehrotra refused to vacate the house. After this, accused Aditya Bhan Singh hatched a conspiracy to kill the advocate.
SP Neeraj Jadoun said that the shooter was given a contract to carry out the incident. Three accused including two other shooters involved in the incident are still absconding. The police is searching for them. Let us tell you that on July 30, senior advocate Kanishk Mehrotra was shot dead. The killers had reached the advocate’s house on the pretext of court marriage. During this time, they attacked the advocate and killed him.
The accused fled from the spot on a bike. There was a lot of anger among the advocates after this incident. They had demanded the police-administration to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
